COSEWIC assessment and status report on the Lake Erie watersnake, Nerodia sipedon insularum, in Canada . : CW69-14/483-2016E-PDF

"The most important occurrence since the previous COSEWIC status report on Lake Erie Watersnake is the removal of the species from the U.S. list of federally endangered and threatened species on August 16, 2011 (USFWS 2010). The delisting of Lake Erie Watersnake in the U.S. is primarily the result of increasing numbers of individuals on the U.S. islands. There are no recent comparable data for the Canadian population”--Preface, p. x.
