520 | |aThe Virtual – Combined Aerospace Operations Centre (V-CAOC) is a concept that has been currently developed by the Canadian Forces Aerospace Warfare Centre (CFAWC) to enhance the global reach of the existing National CAOC in Winnipeg. In this study, a series of Subject Matter Expert (SME) interviews was conducted to understand, from the Human Factors (HF) perspective, the current organizational setup and functioning of the National CAOC, its capability gaps, as well as possible solutions for V-CAOC. This report documents the Human View(HV) architectural models that were developed to represent both the existing National CAOC and possible configurations for V-CAOC. Three V-CAOC options were modelled to represent a scalable solution that varies in personnel footprint of a forward deployable team. The models provide a tool for domain experts to evaluate, compare, and evolve V-CAOC design solutions. |
