These surveys were undertaken under the aegis of Project X29: Marine Environmental Quality, part of the Geological Survey of Canada’s Geoscience for Ocean Management Program. The goal of the research is to map Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, in support of the multi-agency Placentia Bay Information Seaway Project.
