520 |aThe purpose of this report is to further the understanding of of the Lower Cretaceous sections of the Sable sub-basin in the hope that these findings can be applied or at least contribute to an understanding of other areas of the Scotian Basin. Detailed petrology and 7 chemical mineralogy of the sands will answer some questions and raise new ones, about provenance and diagenetic history in the area. Detailed lithofacies interpretations will further the understanding of sequence of events in the area. The cored intervals from the Missisauga Formation and Cree Member of the Logan Canyon Formation of Alma K-85 well are examined in this report.
