Studies of Take-all and its causal organism, Ophiobolus graminis Sacc. / by R.C. Russell.  : A12-2/170-1934E-PDF

"Take-all is a disease of various members of the grass family. It is caused primarily by a parasitic fungus, Ophiobolus graminis Sacc, but it develops only under appropriate environmental conditions. The disease was first recognized in Saskatchewan in 1923. Since it causes considerable damage to wheat in Western Canada, it has been made the subject of much investigation up to the present time."--Introd., p. 5.
