Tobacco growing in Canada / by N.A. MacRae.  : A12-2/176-1935E-PDF

"Almost twenty years have elapsed since Bulletin No. 25, Second Series, dealing with the subject 'Tobacco Growing in Canada' was published. Since then, however, the industry has witnessed a considerable change. ... In the present bulletin an attempt is made to deal with the more important phases of tobacco production. Such subjects as types of seed-beds, cultural practices, methods of harvesting and curing, diseases and insects are discussed in a simple manner. No attempt is made to deal exhaustively with these or related problems. It is intended to meet only the requirements of those desiring general information and to provide them with the results obtained from recent experimental work throughout the Dominion"--Introd., p.
