This investigation was guided by the following research questions: How have urban Aboriginal health services been affected by the historical patterns of North/South referral and development patterns in Manitoba? What are the significant events and developments that have triggered development of urban health and social services? How has Aboriginal spirituality been accommodated by urban health and social service development? How has traditional Aboriginal medecine been developed in the urban context? How have the specific concerns of various constituencies in the urban population (First Nations, Métis, women) been accommodated in the development of services?
