"This Policy and Practice Report sets out the international law treaties, rules and principles relevant to the conservation and management of Pacific salmon, including Fraser River sockeye. It is not intended as a scholarly effort; nor is it comprehensive. Rather, the intent of this Report is to provide participants and the public with information on relevant international law frameworks and to assist them in understanding and contextualizing the evidence to be presented in the commission’s hearings."--p. 4.
