520 |a"The Study of Business Survey Questionnaires was developed to address two main questions: what is the size, scope and content of Statistics Canada's business surveys and questionnaires universe, and what are the standards or patterns within this universe. In order to address these questions, there was a need to develop classification systems that would allow for understanding the questionnaire population. Much of the value of these new classification systems, in addition to the findings of the study, is in providing the Unified Enterprise Statistics (UES) Program with preliminary work for harmonizing and simplifying the number of questionnaires sent to businesses. However, this study and its accompanying database are also valuable to subject matter divisions as tools for examining their particular division in both an internal context and a "big picture" context"--Executive Summary.
