“This evaluation presents the findings and recommendations of the DND LEP. The evaluation examined the relevance and performance of this program over the period of 2009 to 2013, and was conducted by ADM(RS) in accordance with the 2009 TBS Policy on Evaluation. This program has not been previously evaluated. The Materiel Group, under ADM(Mat), is the central service provider and program authority for DND/CAF materiel. The ADM(Mat) is accountable to the Deputy Minister for the full life cycle of materiel, from acquisition, through maintenance and support, to disposal. Within ADM(Mat), DGLEPM delivers and manages land and common materiel required for training and CAF operations. The program supports the life cycle management of approximately 30 major fleets, representing approximately 22,685 platforms and 280,531 centrally managed line items including ammunition, and the management of multiple service and acquisition contracts”--Intro., p. 1.
