This consultation is part of a comprehensive approach that the Government of Canada is taking toward charting a new course in helping Canadians lead healthier, tobacco-free lives ... This paper serves to inform public consultations from February 22 to April 13, 2017 as well as discussions at the National Forum on the Future of Tobacco Control in Canada from February 28 to March 2, 2017. The Government of Canada is looking forward to hearing from a wide range of Canadians, including Indigenous peoples, on this important social and public health issue"--p. 2.
