Census of Saskatchewan, 1936 = Recensement de la Saskatchewan, 1936 : CS98-1936FS-PDF

The Census of Saskatchewan taken as of June 1, 1936, is one of series which will deal with each of the three Prairie Provinces in turn. The reports will be brought together, with a summary, as Volumes I and II of the 1936 Census of the Prairie Provinces. The first volume deals with the various classifications of the population by sex, age, conjugal condition, racial origin, birthplace, year of immigration, citizenship, language spoken, literacy, school attendance, etc. This report also deals with agriculture, giving the details of farms, farm acreages and tenure, condition of farm land, farm values, farm expenses, crops, livestock, animal products, etc. The second volume contains statistics of the gainfully occupied, unemployment, earnings, employment, and household and family statistics.
