Tenth census of Newfoundland and Labrador, 1935 . : CS98-1935E-PDF

"Volume 1 of the Tenth Census of Newfoundland and Labrador sets forth the total population enumerated as of date August 1, 1935, down to the smallest geographical areas, but without cross classification or analysis of any kind except by sex and by settlements and districts. The data covers each of the main subjects on the census schedules, (sex, age, conjugal condition, religion, birthplace, nationality, literally, school attendance, mentally deficient and orphans). The remaining Volumes [sic] will contain the results of the Census of Agriculture and Fisheries, Families and Dwellings, and the Occupations, Earnings and Industries all of which were taken concurrently with the Census of Population"--Pref., v. 1.
