"DSISoft is a customized vertical seismic profile (VSP) processing software package developed at the Geological Survey of Canada. The software runs in MATLAB version 5.0 and above and hence is portable between computer operating systems (Unix, Windows, Macintosh). The package includes processing modules for reading and writing various data formats, performing data editing, sorting, filtering, and other basic processing steps. Processing modules can be scripted allowing batch processing and easy documentation of the processing sequence. A variable description has been developed to ensure that future additions to the package are compatible with existing software. Several interactive modules have been created using MATLAB's graphical user interface (GUI) builder for displaying seismic data, picking first break times, examining frequency spectra, doing fk filtering, and plotting the trace header information. DSISoft is designed to be extensible, incorporating new processing algorithms as they are developed.
