"The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) support scholarly endeavors in Canada’s universities. ... Realizing the shortcomings of their respective information systems and driven by a desire to consolidate them, the Councils launched the Enterprise Awards Management System (EAMS) project in 2008. ...
