"In the fall of 2000, the Canadian International Development Agency’s (CIDA) Policy Committee approved a knowledge management initiative (KMI) designed to improve the Agency’s capacity to become a more knowledge-based organization. As part of this, the Network Support Pilot Project (NSPP) was initiated to test a structured approach to supporting knowledge networks and to evaluate the impact of this support on network performance and value added to CIDA."--Introduction.
