"This volume contains a list of all fur trade posts operating within the present boundaries of the Northwest Territories between 1870 and 1970. Information is provided on location, ownership, opening and closing dates, and other pertinent details. The volume is divided into two parts, the first being a list by location, the second being a list by ownership. An introductory text discusses the sources of information, the compilation and use of the list, and provides a brief outline of the development of the fur trade in the Northwest Territories."--Abstract.
