Housing and families : new needs and new trends / Jules Hurtubise. : NH15-605/1991E-PDF
"This paper analyzes the events which put pressure on the family which in turn exercise specific pressures on housing (the return of the spouse to studies or to work, the special needs of adolescents, home-based work, divorce, etc.). It also profiles the housing needs of couples in Quebec who have recently bought or renovated a house, and the elements which counted in the choice of their present house. One message stands out throughout this analysis. The 90s are heralding an acceleration in the diversification of housing in Quebec. A wider range of functions are being called for in the kitchen, the main bathroom and the master bedroom. New functions are also being sought for the second bedroom such as: a distinct office-room with an outside entrance"--provided by publisher.
