Grist and flour mills in Ontario : from millstones to rollers, 1780s-1880s / Felicity L. Leung. : R64-81/1981-53E-PDF

This study examines the changes made in methods of milling wheat in Ontario grist and flour mills from the 1780s to the 1880s. The author describes the machinery and mill furnishings available during five overlapping periods of technique, and touches on some of the pollitical, economic, social and geographical influences that affected the flour-milling industry--cf. Abstract, p. 6.
