Sexual offences against children : report of the Committee on Sexual Offences Against Children and Youths. : J2-50/1984E-PDF

"The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada and the Minister of National Health and Welfare of the Government of Canada announced the establishment of the Committee on Sexual Offences Against Children and Youths on December 19, 1980. The charge given the Committee was 'to enquire into the incidence and prevalance in Canada of sexual offences against children and youths and to recommend improvements in laws for the protection of young persons from sexual abuse and exploitation'. The Committee was instructed to obtain 'comprehensive factual information' about these issues also to 'examine the problems of juvenile prostitution and the exploitation of young persons for pornographic purposes'"--p. 3.
