"The objective of this study is to determine if post-approval public participation is useful, and if so, in what situations. Eight resource development projects are examined, for which some form of public participation was attempted after project approval. This study concludes that post-approval public participation can be useful to proponents, governments, and publics. It should be part of the overall impact management process, as an extension of earlier involvement"--Introduction, p. 1.
