The COMSEC program involves the application of cryptographic security, transmissions and emission security, physical security measures, and operational practices and controls. The objectives of COMSEC is to deny unauthorized aceess to information and data derived from telecommunications and to ensure the authenticity of such telecommunications.[...]"COMSEC material" is designed to secure or authenticate telecommunications information.
