“In development since 2009, the Cancer in Young People in Canada (CYP-C) surveillance system now offers an opportunity to study rare conditions like childhood cancer and provide a foundation for planning cancer control programs and policies. The CYP-C surveillance system collects in-depth diagnostic, treatment, and outcome data on nearly all children under the age of 15 years diagnosed with cancer in Canada. This inaugural report offers a range of basic surveillance measures using CYP-C and other relevant data sources in order to give an impression of the program’s potential”--Report highlights, p. 4.
