A guide for environment screening of Inland Waters projects in the Pacific and Yukon Region . : En39-4/1989E-PDF

"This manual is written pursuant to section 16 of the Environmental Assessment and Review Process (EARP) Guidelines Order (1984) which requires initiators to establish written procedures to be followed in making environmental screening decisions on their proposed activities. It establishes a systematic approach to the screening for environmental effects of all projects, programs and activities undertaken, sponsored, funded or supported by Inland Waters. The manual sets out procedures which are in accordance with the 1982 Department of Environment (DOE) and the 1985 Environmental Conservation Service (ECS) levels of environmental screening guidelines, but are specific to Inland Waters, Pacfic and Yukon Region"-- Abstract.
