"The Dewdney Area Improvement District is located on the north bank of the Fraser River some 75 km east of Vancouver. The total area which would be protected by the rehabilitated dykes is 1,760 hectares of rural, residential and agricultural land. The area also has a population of about 1,000 people and some 250 houses. The purpose of this analysis is to estimate the economic benefits of reconstructing the Dewdney Area Improvement District dykes to Fraser River Flood Control Program standards"-Introd. and Purpose.
