"In the Fall of 1991, at a Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation seminar in Edmonton, a challenge was issued to the building industry to improve waste management practices. From this and subsequent discussions, an audit was proposed under the direction of CMHC, the City of Edmonton, the Edmonton Home Builders Association (EHBA) and George Wimpey Canada. The purpose of the case study was to review waste management practices specific to the Edmonton area and to effect change in those practices"--Exec. summary.
