"A review is presented of the analysis, occurrence and fate of organotin compounds in the environment. The state of the art in analytical instrumentation is generally adequate, although there are few published methods on media other than water. The main classes of organotin compounds likely to be found in the Canadian environment are methyl-, butyl-, phenyl- and cyclohexyltin compounds, and most of these species can be analyzed satisfactorily using existing methods; however, it is desirable to have a method which features continuous introduction of high pressure liquid chromatographic eluent into a suitable detector for those compounds, or conjugates, which are not volatile"--Abstract.
