"Relevant information to assist in the use of the MVSS, finite element computer program, is presented in this manual. The program is written in modular form to facilitate its use and for ease of adding new modules. MVSS includes both pre- and post-processor and an iterative analysis routine to permit cracking of masonry walls and failure of the steel ties. It also includes a data bank that can be modified or augmented. The data bank is used to store the properties and descriptions of the steel studs, steel ties and top and bottom tracks"--Introd., p. 5.
