"Statistics Canada sponsored a study to investigate the potential for measuring an economic value of household work, and the present paper, by Professor Hawrylyshyn, reports the results of this investigation. In it, he delineates the theoretical and methodological foundations for such a valuation, estimates the values compiled for Canada in 1971 (by province), and analyzes the robustness of these estimates through sensitivity tests applied to the base data"--Foreword.
