Outlines the conditions contributing to the flood of 1948 in which approximately 70,000 acres of farm lands were inundated and some 2,300 homes damaged or destroyed in the Fraser Valley area of British Columbia, and provides hydrometric data, comprising a summary of the previous maximum recorded stage or discharge, the maximum recorded stage or discharge during the flood period of 1948 and a table for each of 54 selected gauging stations given the daily stage in feet or the daily discharge in cubic feet per second for the period May 1 to July 15, 1948.
