Studies were previously made of the dental profession in 1945, and of the medical profession in 1947. Such surveys are part of a continuing program to improve statistics on the earnings of the various professions for use in national income estimates. The national income measures all earnings of Canadian residents from the production of goods and services during the calendar year.
