"We have calculated radiation dose rates to aquatic organisms living near an abandoned uranium mine on Lake Athabaska. Dose rates in sediment were over ten times the recommended maxima for humans. Internal dose rates to whitefish bone were somewhat higher than the maxima. We intend to prepare tables for general use for the calculation of dose rates from ingested radioactivity from various sources"--Management perspective.
