"This comprehensive study report includes a summary of the Wuskwatim Generation Project and the environment in which it will be built and operated. The results of public consultations are discussed and include consultations conducted by the Proponent, government Aboriginal consultations conducted jointly by the DFO and the Province of Manitoba, written input received during review of the Environmental Impact Statement, and consultation conducted through public hearing by Manitoba’s Clean Environment Commission (CEC). This document includes a summary of the environmental effects of the Project, the cumulative effects and the effects caused by accidents or malfunctions that might occur, an outline of the associated mitigation and follow-up measures, the determination of the significance of the effects, approval conditions and a preliminary conclusion on the environmental acceptability of the Project"--Introduction, p. 1.
