"This paper explains why business respondents should participate in Statistics Canada surveys and what we do with their responses. It provides many examples of how the survey results are useful to Canada's businesses, governments and citizens. It answers the two questions most frequently asked by business respondents: "Why does my business have to participate?" and "How does Statistics Canada protect the confidentiality of my business' information?" It includes an overview explaining how data are collected and processed to produce statistics. The paper ends by demonstrating how Statistics Canada is striving to make it easier for businesses to respond to our surveys"--Title page.
