"This Operational Policy Framework of the Research Ethics Board (REB) was approved by the Deputy Minister (DM) of Health and the Chief Public Health Officer (CPHO) of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) in 2010. However, since research ethics is a continually evolving subject matter, this Policy Framework may be modified from time to time. It is the responsibility of all researchers and other readers to ensure that they are using the most recent version. The Policy Framework should be read in conjunction with the REB’s Administrative Procedures Manual which provides important information on the procedures adopted by the REB for reviewing research applications"--About this policy framework, p. 5.
