Historical tsunamis at the Seal Cove and Victoria Canadian Coast Guard stations, British Columbia / by Alexander B. Rabinovich … [et al.]. : Fs97-18/325E-PDF
"Large segments of the British Columbia coastline are susceptible to tsunamis generated within the Pacific Ocean. The catastrophic events of the last two decades, in particular the 2004 Sumatra and 2011 Tohoku tsunamis, have once again demonstrated the threat of major tsunamis to coastal installations and human life. The purpose of this report is to investigate historical tsunami wave heights at two Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) stations on the west coast of British Columbia: Seal Cove and Victoria. Century-long tide gauge records for Prince Rupert and Victoria have been used to estimate the tsunami risk to both these stations"--Preface, p. vii.
