"A regional peer review process was held to assess the status of Atlantic Cod in Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) Divisions 2J3KL (Northern cod, hereafter) and to generate detailed scientific advice on the recovery and sustainable harvest of this resource. The Northern cod stock assessment meeting was held during March 21-24 and March 30-31, 2016 at the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Centre in St. John’s, NL. The 2016 stock assessment represents the first time the Northern cod stock has been assessed using an integrated catch-at-age model”--Summary, p. v.
