"The overall objective of this audit was to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the management control framework in support of the Public Prosecution Service of Canada’s (PPSC) mandate, mission and values, and to assess the efficiency of business processes. This audit focused on the operations of the Nunavut Regional Office (NRO), particularly whether the region was complying with the PPSC’s six principles for more efficient work processes. It also covered the NRO’s interactions with certain functional areas located in Headquarters (HQ) that provide support, and its interactions with other federal departments and agencies and investigative agencies"--Executive summary, p. 1.
