"We studied snowshoe hare (Lepus americanus) populations near Fredericton, New Brunswick from June 1967 to February 1971. Total population numbers on a 180-ha study area decreased from an estimated 294 hares in September 1967, a year of high population density, through three years of declining numbers to 29 hares in October 1970"--Abstract.
