5203 |a"The Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area, established in 1968, is one of the most important waterbird habitats in British Columbia. Populations of at least 31 species of waterbirds have increased since 1950; waterfowl broods have increased about five fold since 1966. The valley supports large populations of Pied-billed, Red-necked, and Western Grebes; Great Blue Herons; Wood Ducks; Ospreys; Soras; Coots; and Black Terns. Forster's Terns breed nowhere else in British Columbia"--Abstract.
