"Predation by overwintering scoters (Melanitta sp.) is a major problem to mussel farming along the coast of British Columbia. The objective of this study was to investigate ways of improving predator protection measures that would be effective in preventing predation but would not entangle birds and would be relatively inexpensive and convenient to install and maintain"--Abstract.
