Foraging behaviour of forest birds of the dry interior douglas-fir, ponderosa pine forests of British Columbia / K.H. Morgan, J-P.L. Savard, S.P. Wetmore. : CW69-5/149E-PDF
"Few Canadian studies examining the relationships between forest structure and bird population dynamics and/or foraging behaviour have been published. In response to this information shortage, in 1983 the Canadian Wildlife Service, began a study in the dry interior of British Columbia investigating the relationships between forest structure, logging techniques and bird communities. Concurrent with that investigation was a study of the foraging behaviour of the most abundant breeding species. This report summarizes and interprets the results of the behavioural study"--Study objective, p. 4, 5.
