"The Maritime Canada Landbird Conservation Plan is part of the Partners in Flight - Canada program (PIF -Canada). PIF is one of the four pillars of bird groups that comprise the North American Bird Conservation Initiative NABCI - Canada) endorsed by Canada, the United States and Mexico. The goal of PIF is to maintain the diversity and abundance of all North American landbirds. The present regional landbird conservation plan covers New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, which lie within Bird Conservation Region (BCR) 14"--Exec. summary, p. 5.
