"In the 1,700 sq.mile Peace-Athabasca Delta in northeastern Alberta. The delta is largely contained within Wood Buffalo National Park and is important as bison habitat and as a waterfowl breeding, moulting and fall staging area. Muskrat trapping and fishing in the delta have been traditional sources of income for the 1,500 Cree, Chipewyan and Métis residents of Fort Chipewyan"--Abstract.
