"Between May 2017 and March 2018, the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour and officials from the Labour Program of Employment and Social Development Canada consulted with Canadians, unions and labour organizations, employers and employer organizations, academics, other experts and advocacy groups to get their perspectives on what a robust and modern set of federal labour standards should look like. The main objective of this report is to summarize what we heard during the consultations and outline next steps"--Introd., p. 2.
