"The aerial surveys upon which this report is mainly based were carried out during the periods March 22 to 27, 1950, February 19 to 26, 1951, and March 16 to 23, 1952. Through the courtesy of the Royal Canadian Air Force, an aircraft and crew were placed at the writer's disposal in 1950 and in 1951. In 1952, during the writer's absence on educational leave, Dr. A.W.F. Banfield conducted the survey using the same equipment and techniques"--Introd.
