Population estimates for the Great Lakes basins and their major tributaries . : En36-507/1E-PDF

"Population statistics are available usually on an administrative unit basis only. In studies of man’s use of the Great Lakes, the Social Science Research Section has found this to be inconvenient and has produced this document to provide standardized information on population on a watershed basis. Every care has been exercised to minimize error, but it should be emphasized that the population statistics presented are estimates only. The Social Science Research Section is considering the production of similar tables for other social and economic phenomena significant to an understanding of water management problems on the Great Lakes"--Introduction.
