"Within this general framework this paper attempts to do four things; first, review the recent trends in world trade and Canada's performance in the light of them; second, describe some of the more important developments which have influenced recent world trends; third, outline some opportunities the Kennedy Round of Trade Negotiations could provide for improving Canada's performance in world trade; and fourth, consider briefly the question of institutional or noneconomic barriers to Canadian exports"--Introduction, p. 2.
