"This paper considers the job-commuting mobility of the labour force of the Toronto Census Metropolitan Area (CMA). Specifically it examines the patterns of residence location, job location, and the attendant journey-to-work flows. These locational data were gathered by the last census and, therefore, refer to conditions which prevailed on June 1, 1971. This report, then, provides a unique "bench mark" for the analysis of the structure of this urban area"--Abstract, p. i.
