The Chinese elderly : social integration in Metro Toronto Housing Company Ltd. / by Morris Saldov, principal researcher ; with the assistance of Peter C.P. Chow … [et al.]. : NH15-830/1996E-PDF

"Managing adaptive change in response to the growing ethnic diversity of residents in a mainstream housing agency is a challenge facing Metro Toronto's Housing Company Limited (MTHCL) and Community Services Agencies. Demographic changes in the seniors’ population in MTHCL have resulted in large concentrations of ethnic minority elderly in some apartment buildings. The largest and fastest growing visible minority Ethnic Seniors group in Toronto is the Chinese. This CMHC-funded study was undertaken to examine access issues for Chinese Seniors in MTHCL. It is anticipated that what is learned about one Ethnic Elderly group's experience of barriers in accessing services will not only assist agencies serving this group but also be helpful to understanding the needs of other Ethnic Seniors in public housing"--Executive summary, p. i.
